Q: How do you adjust the time on a 2011 VW Jetta?
Stupid question I know, but I can't figure out how to change the clock time on a 2011 VW Jetta. Anyone know?

A: press the button twice

Q: Is the new 2011 VW Jetta a better purchase than say, a Civic or Kizashi?
The new VW is priced much closer to the Japanese now, but I wonder if there are trade offs which I should know about.. Are we getting older engine tech, for instance? Plus, would the cost of maintaining this German car still be higher than the Japanese? Thanks a lot for replying!

A: The VW will cost more to maintain in the long-run if you are planning on keeping it for 5+ years. Personally, I would never buy a VW because they are mechanical nightmares and things usually start to go wrong right after the warranty period is over. However, if leasing is an option for you, leasing a VW can be a great idea. You get free scheduled maintenance for the term of the lease AND your warranty protects you if something goes wrong. The Jetta is a good car to drive, but just not that reliable.

Q: Is the new 2011 VW Jetta a better purchase than a Civic or Kizashi?
My concerns are about ownership- cost of maintaining a German car (as opposed to Japanese). Since it's now priced similar to the Japanese cars, are there any trade-offs I should know about (in terms of engine tech, etc)? Many thanks!

A: i have a 07 jetta and love it, cant complain...if i were you i would get the 11 jetta. cost wise i am not sure for that one, i got mine at a good price, and it is good on gas. i have actually taken my jetta in less times than my camry that i used to have (hopefully that continues). the jetta has awesome acceloration and hp for its class, i also like many of its features which include mirror turn signals, rear seat air conditioning, an the largest trunk size in its class (great for traveling and carrying luggage), the car drives beautifully...i am not crazy about the kizashi, i dont find suzukis to be great. i havent heard many reviews about them either. when it comes to the civic here is the problem, they dont have a lot of horsepower that is why they get great gas mileage so if it only a commuter car to work then it would be fine. but when it comes to carrying 4 passengers and/or going on a long road trip with luggage then the civic feels weak. you can really feel the weight slowing it down. also if you want a sporty feeling, the civic is not for you unless you get the si, i dont like the steering wheel at all if feels wrong when driving, just to small and not great placement...if anything i would also check out the mazda 3, which is similar to the jetta...but for me its all about the jetta. i know its kinda biased, but i did tons of research before i got my jetta hope this helps a little

Q: Does anyone know what the 2011 VW jetta will look like?
I'm super curious as to know what the new version will look like.

A: idk but i need a car can u buy me one?

Q: How much better of a deal will i get on a new 2010 vw jetta than a 2011 jetta?
Does Volkswagen have a good clearance deal of the 2010 jettas? or should i just go with a 2011 jetta? Thanks

Q: Under $25k Cars- 2011 VW Jetta impressions? Girl Car?
The new 2011 Jetta SEL is about $23k with nav, bluetooth, leatherette, and sunroof standard. In my opinion it looks very good, better than a Civic, Corolla, or any other similar price range sedan. I have always owned Toyotas and Hondas (and one Mercedes) so I'm skeptical about owning a VW. Currently I drive a 2000 Benz and love it, however it's braking down. I need a car under the $25k and thought the Jetta was nice. Please give me your opinions and thoughts on the new Jetta. Also most the people I ask say VW is a girl/ woman brand. Is this true, especially to the 2011 Jetta? P.S. Will be trading in a 2000 Mercedes S-Class.

A: Ignore Stewie, he is Japanese and hates ANYTHING not made in Japan. Yes the VW Jetta is a good car. .

Q: Any problems with the 2011 VW Jetta?
I'm thinking of buying the new 2011 Jetta and I was wondering if any of you have one? If so do you like it? Do you see any reoccurring problems? Thanks!

A: I think it looks really cool and VWs are very reliable. I still would not buy one though because it is the first year and it is never good to be a first adopter of new tech.

Q: 2011 VW jetta?? please help?
so im going to be getting my first car in a few months, and one of my top choices is the 2011 VW jetta. im not looking for extreme performance or anything, i mean, its my first car. i test drove it at a dealer, and i liked the way it drove. it was easy to handle, not too noisy, the inside of it felt quality and european-ish. so what do you guys think of it? i know VW had some reliability issues in the past, has any of that changed? any experiences or stories? i like the way it looks, so please dont just say that you do or dont like it in your answer... oh, and please please please dont suggest getting a used car instead of a new one, my parents dont think their safe, so.. its kind of out of the question. thanks so much!! yeah, their paying for insurance too...

A: Pretty much all of VW's past reliability issues were worked out with the introduction of the Mk5 (2005-2010). The only 3 things I would do to a 2011 if I got one would be a nice set of coilovers, an APR tune whenever they release it, and a nice set of BBS LMs.

Q: If you had a choice between a 2007 VW GLI, 2010 or 2011 VW regular Jetta?
The GLI has 30000 miles on it. Which would you pick and why? OH and the 2010 or 2011 Jetta would be brand new. 0 miles

A: A 2011 Jetta Sportwagen TDI.

Q: Auto headlight shutoff in the new 2011 Jetta TDI?
The new 2011 VW Jetta TDI doesn't have Auto head lights but I wanted to know it I left them on would they turn off so I don't end up with a dead battery.

A: Try it and find out, what have you got to lose?

Q: Recommend buying a newer model VW Jetta?
I've always loved this car, but have heard it has some reliability issues. Is this true? If you have any experiences with 2010-2011 VW Jetta, please share, good & bad. Thanks! I did check consumer reports, I just wanted to get opinions from actual drivers. I currently own a Toyota Corolla. I would never buy another one!

A: I had same VW reliability concern before I bought my new 2010 Jetta TDI 8 months ago. I did lots of research myself, test drive, and even grabed and asked VW drivers I don't know in parking lot and gas pumps. I am not afraid of buying a newer model. The notorious DSG has 4 years warranty now. I also think the "ALMIGHTY Toyota" had fatal recalls, so.... I went to 3 VW dealers and tested drive 5,6 times with different trim. No matter gas or diesel, I love Jetta's handling best, very very fun to drive. I feel that I am driving a car, not a boat on water. Try one then you know what I am talking about. Handling is very different than Corolla. May I dare to say, if you are younger than 45, you will like Jetta better. Rest of safety features or resale value... you can easily find them online. I don't know which trim you like. Tdi is more expensive but has great MPG and torque. Two things I don't like. First,I don't like the poor sound of speakers and the doors are hea~vy. I noticed the engine and transmission of Jetta are from Germany, Japan, Poland....I don't know the differences but I prefer both from Germany. I love my Jetta and proud to drive it. Hope you can find one you like soon.

Q: Black or White 2011 Volkswagen Jetta?
Which color is more elegant for a 2011 VW Jetta? Black or White?

A: I purchased the white Jetta SE with conveince package and sunroof.....I love it...I actually picked white over black for the opposite reason the person who purchased the black one....I like the contrast of the black grill on a white car....if VW stuck with the chrome finish..I would of prob gotten the black jetta.

Q: What is the difference between all of the VW Jetta models?
I'm really concerned about the 2011 Jetta SE models: as far as I know there is the: Jetta SE, Jetta SE + convenience and Jetta SE + convenience & sunroof pricing wise there is a 1500 difference between each. I would also like to know if all 3 are offered in southern california. thanks.

A: A standard SE has 16" steel wheels, 2.5 5 cylinder motor, cruise control, console, power locks, windows, light package (interior reading lights, trunk (boot) lamp), floor mats. Convenience pack adds: alloy wheels, winter pack (heated front seats, winshield nozzles), Bluetooth, Ipod interface, leather wrapped steering and shit knob, upgraded stereo. Sunroof package adds: sunroof, upgraded 6 speaker sound system, cd changer, memory card reader. These are 50 state models, so it should available where you are. I'm in Northern CA.

Q: Bought a 2010 Jetta a month ago. News report yesterday: "VW Releases 2011 Jetta: Bigger, Better, Cheaper!"?
AND IT IS! More room, more features inside, a whole new body style that I prefer over mine, and it starts at $16000! NOT FAIR! I have friends who bought an iPhone this month, and then AT&T was like "Surprise! In just a few weeks, you can get a much better iPhone!" My friends were mad, and so were thousands of other people so AT&T is doing some new program to appease them. Can I get anything like that? Is it possible to trade in for a brand-new one if I pay for the mileage Ive used??

A: when you drove off the lot, it became a used car. you can get bluebook value for it, maybe a little more. the dealer won't let you just bring it back without some penalization. buyers remorse sucks.

Q: correct tire pressure for '11 VW Jetta?
My mom bought a new 2011 VW Jetta. I can't find the manual, just wanted to pump up the tires to correct manufacturer's pressure since they came with 40 PSI all four tires. I also cant find any stickers anywhere with this information. please help. thanks.

A: it either on the side when you open the driver door or when you open the fuel door its probably there, all cars have that info in one of these two locations
