2011 hyundai elantra questions and answers
Looking for more information about the 2011 hyundai elantra. Check out your automotive resource GoodCarBadCar.net.
Q: when is the 2011 hyundai elantra going to be for sale?
the 2011 model sonata and elantra touring are already for sale in the US (if i'm not mistaken) but what's taking the elantra so long? I know they're rolling out a new design, but the suspense is killing me!
A: From what I've been reading it will be built in the US starting in a couple of months so most likely it will start selling early next year. A little more info here http://www.insideline.com/hyundai/elantra/2011/2011-hyundai-elantra-will-be-built-in-alabama.html
I really like my '01 Elantra but I have to admit the '11 looks great. Hyundai is really coming on strong. I'm starting to keep an eye on the new Kia Optima.
Q: When is the 2011 Hyundai Elantra coming out?
I've been keeping an eye on this car, because I really like the design. I'm looking to buy it! Anyone know when it's coming out?
A: It's out now but in very limited quantities. The dealer near me said that Hyundai supplied only two Elantras per dealer and they're the fully loaded models. So you will have to wait a littler longer for other trim models to come around.
I got to sit in one and it's very nice. The cabin is airy and the fit and finish is very good. Not as much headroom in the back as the previous Elantras but the folding arm rest with cup holders is a nice touch. The GPS/radio system seems to be the same as in the Sonata. That's a good thing.
Q: Looking to buy a 2011 Hyundai Elantra?
Looking to buy a 2011 Hyundai Elantra Dealer offering 19,065 OTD Remote starter included
Can I do better ?
Thank you for any help
(Newbie to negotiating)
This is the GLS, & Preferred package, Thank you
A: You also should compare car insurance quotes for cars before buying one, for example here - carinsurance.yoll.net
Q: 2011 Hyundai Elantra or 2011 Honda Civic?
Both cars are what others call it "boring" because its not a sport car.
Now the Elantra was better on gas, power, style, features.
So the only question is, RELIABILITY, does the Hyundai can match the Honda?
This is my first car that Im going to buy brand new, my car right now was old and was a gift from a friend. Im also considering the Mazda 3 s Sport hatchback, but its my last option, because of poor gas mileage.
Honda Civic is rated 26mpg city, Hyundai Elantra was rated 29mpg city. 3 miles difference is almost my one way travel to work, I travel 4miles one way.
My concern is should I pick the Civic because it is established as a very reliable car? Or is the Elantra worth it because its better on gas, and it is not far reliable than Hondas? not to mention it has an advantage of 8 more HP...I hope for your unbiased and knowledgeable answers. Thanks!
A: The new 2011 Elantra looks like a mini Sonata, which is a best seller. For the same price, you will get many more standard features in the Elantra (stability control, alloy wheels, bluetooth, cruise control, intermittent wipers, keyless remote, etc) and a longer warranty than the Civic. The 2010 Elantra was rated very reliable by consumer reports. T
Q: 2011 Mazda 3 s Sport or 2011 Hyundai Elantra?
A: Hyundai's are proven to be more reliable than Mazda's. Look at JD Powers and Consumer Reports reliability rankings.
The 3 is a fun to drive sporty car and still IMO one of the top cars in the class but with all things considered the new Elantra is a step above it. The Elantra gets 40 MPG with a 148 HP engine while the 3's engine only gets 33 MPG with the same amount of HP. The Elantra's drivetrain is more advanced.
Plus the Elantra just won the 2011 Residual Value Award for it's class. The resell value may HIGHER now than the 3.
Hyundai sells 4x's more cars than Mazda worldwide.
The 3 is a fine car; but right now the Elantra is class leading.
Q: 2011 Hyundai Elantra GLS Preffered?
I looked on to the trims and specs of the GLS, and it does not have a standar AC and Cruise control.
When you select the GLS manual transmission, you can select the popular package which offers the AC and Cruise control. But when you select the GLS automatic transmission, you can only select the "preferred" package, and this package does not include the AC and cruise control.
It seems that, the AC and cruise control are only offered on Manual GLS and on the Limited.
So does the GLS automatic, with preferred package have AC and cruise control option? Is it standard when you choose the automatic option or not? Cause when you choose automatic on the GLS trim, it adds like 2200+ dollars, I dont think this is just for the auto trans itself.
Let me know what you think. Thanks!
A: Usually it is standard with the upgrade to an automatic transmission.
Q: Hyundai Elantra/Evante 2011 release date?
I heard it's officially unveiling in November at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show. Does that mean they start selling it in November or should i expect it to be at a dealer later...?
Also any better car soon to come out besides the Hyundai Elantra/Evante 2011 that's a compact and in the same price range? I know the ford focus is one of them but it doesn't look at nice exterior wise : p
A: December-latest mid January 2011 as indicated by manufacturer.
Q: owners of 2007-11 Hyundai Elantra~ Quick question about keys?
Alright, i am thinking about buying a 2011 Hyundai Elantra as a business car. Are "Valet" keys included? Valet keys are like the ones that allow to open the door and start the engine but not the trunk and glove box.
A: Majority of domestics have that future not the imports. To answer your question: no, there is no valet key to any of Hyundai models.
Q: Hyundai Elantra Touring - Does the cargo screen cover from the 2010 model fit the new 2011 models?
A: NO. Different trunk and modified face lift. Tried this and its no match.
Q: Which new 2010/2011 car is better : KIA Cerato or Hyundai Elantra ? and why ?
A: Actually this is a pretty broad question. The Kia Cerato is the Forte here in the US and it is different than the 2010 Elantra. And the 2011 Elantra will be much different than both. In fact there may be 4 to 5 different engine choices just between the 3 cars alone since the 2011 Elantra may have 2 engine choices.
The 2011 will be better than both cars, from what I can tell so far, but the the 2010 model will be cheaper. The Cerato, for now, is the in between pick but, in it's highest trim model, will be the quickest.
Without knowing what you're looking for it's pointless to suggest any of them.
@ THE Author - The question wasn't about a fcuking Corolla. If you don't know the answer, don't respond to the question. With all of Toyota's problems a Corolla would be the last car I would suggest.
Maybe I should elaborate the differences a little more.
The 2010 Elantra has a DIFFERENT ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION THAN THE 2010 CERATO AND THE 2011 ELANTRA NOT ONLY WILL HAVE A DIFFERENT ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION FROM BOTH THE 2010 ELANTRA AND 2010 CERATO BUT WILL USE DIFFERENT ENGINE TECHNOLOGY AS WELL.
Q: Would I have to pay MSRP for the new 2011 Elantra?!?
I am looking at buying the new 2011 Elantra Limited with the Premium Package (GPS, etc). According to Hyundai's website, the MSRP is 22,700. I know this car was just released.. would I still have to pay that amount or do you think I could it down to like 22,500 or below?
A: Yes you will have to pay most of it.
But the vehicle has had 1,944 complaints against it over the years so I would consider something American or European instead.
See the complaints here before you buy it: http://www.allworldauto.com/comments/hyundai_elantra_comments_and_complaints_25-153-1.html
.
Q: Why has rearview camera stopped working in 2011 Elantra Limited?!?
I just bought the 2011 Elantra Limited with GPS and it has a camera when you put the car in reverse that shows you where you are going. The past two days when I've went into reverse, the screen just turns black with the overlaid color grid, but no camera image. What is wroing with it already? Please tell me Hyundai is under obligation to fix this.. I've had the car less than 2 weeks.
The camera is definiately still there. Sometimes when I back up, the image will come on for a split second and then it turns to black.
A: First take a look in back and see if the camera is still there. If it is, yes, you need to go to Hyundai and get them to fix it. You'd hit the ceiling to see the price of those things from the dealer- too expensive to just kiss off after a couple of weeks. The GPS and camera should have manufacturer's warranty. If someone stole it off the back of your car, call your insurance.
Q: Car takes more time to start than before?
Hi. I have Hyundai elantra gls 2004. When I bought the car , the car in 2009 from a dealer, it started immediately when I turn the keys on. But over the time now in 2011 , I have observed, there is some delay in starting the engine. Can I blame the spark plugs for this ?
A: Most likely you are right, just old spark plugs. Another thing that may make it start slow is if you don't drive the car much and the gas gets a little old. The car will still run fine, but it will start slower. You usually don't want your gas any more than one month old. If it looks like the plugs, I would replace them and it will really make the engine more responsive and better driving - probably will help fuel mileage as well (just that this car is already so good on gas it is very hard to notice an improvement or change in mileage).
Q: i want this car, please give me more info?

so is it a reliable car/brand?
Toyotas are boring. they have no new, cool cars. BORING
Hondas have the ugliest interiors ever. they look so cheap. they pack to much stuff on the dash, UGLY!!!!!!
Mitsubishi, ugly and not my type, same for Suzuki
u guys are not even aswering all my questions, like the insurance, hello people
A: We can't tell you what insurance will cost. That alone tells me you probably have not even completed high school yet. Insurance premiums are determined by several factors that we don't know. Where you live, driving history, credit history, history of vehicle, use of the vehicle, and coverage types are just a few of many things that determine insurance costs. You need to call several insurance companies and get quotes so you can see who offers the best rates for you, like all other intelligent adults do. Its not the kind of question you can just ask on a forum like Answers and expect a direct, accurate response.
Anyway, whether or not your car will be reliable depends on how long you plan to own the car. You are looking at 2010-2011 model cars, which means most repairs, if not all repairs, will be free to a certain time or mileage since you more than likely have a warranty accompanying new cars like this. If you're gonna own a Volkswagen past its warranty, then don't buy one. They have not been the same since they changed the design of the Jetta in the late 90s-early 2000.
Q: ARE THESE CARS/MAKES RELIABLE, YAYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!?

A: No the Hyundai/kia (both the same company) ISN'T reliable.
As a veteran I spent over three years in Korea where Hyundai and Kia are made. The Koreans despise the fact that there government doesn't allow the sale of American cars there and they equally despise Hyundai and Kia for lack of quality. They make them so they should know.
