Q: How often do I get service/ maintenance for my new, 2011 BMW 328i?
I just bought the car last week and all the sales rep told me was, "the car will let you know." He didn't really elaborate except to show me on the idrive system where it measures the oil life and other stuff. He said I didn't need to come back for ANYTHING until 15k miles. No inspections, services or maintenances. Nothing. Generally, car makers want you to come back after the first 30 days or so to check everything out. Does this sound right to you other new BMW owners?

A: All new BMW vehicles will be fully covered in their maintenance program for 4 years 50,000miles. See link. There is no need to go back for anything until your first oil change is due. But it is recommended that you take it easy on the car for the first thousand miles or so before you start revving hard on the engine. If you drive normally, your oil change will only be due at 15,000 miles because they use fully synthetic oil only. However, you might need to verify the oil level when you reach 8000 miles. New BMWs have no dipsticks. So you might need to have a chat with the service guys...

Q: For best performance in winter conditions, should i get the 2011 BMW 328i xDrive or the 2011 Audi A4 quattro?
I just moved out to the East Coast from California and I am going to be getting a new car. If I want a car that does well in snowy/icy conditions, which vehicle has the better all wheel drive system?

A: Personally, it's either. Audi has been doing the AWD thing longer, but the xdrive BMWs are really nice also, and they do work.

Q: Cannot dial phone number in 2011 BMW 328i xDrive?
Hello. I just bought a 2011 BMW 328i xDrive. I can dial a number by saying a number or by pressing on the screen (i do not have iDrive). However, when i press the command button and say "Dial Name". It says my phonebook is empty. However, i do have contacts in there. How can i get over this issue? Please help Thank you I figured it out, thanks to Keeler BMW. 1. Press voice command button 2. A: I dont know how wealthy you are, but i'd go for $40,000 including all taxes and everything. Of course, depending on where you live, the tax may be pretty heavy. Try to get the before tax price down to $40,000. that would be good enough for me. Edit: John, this dude is probably in Canada. Q: My 2011 BMW says 328i on the back?
My 2011 BMW says 328i on the back and xDrive on the side of the car. However, some people are driving with 328xi written on the back. I am confused. I was told i have AWD car. A: X-drive is the newest label for the AWD cars. What was a 328xi is now a 328i with X-drive.

I am planing to buy a car. I am confused between a Certified Used 2009 BMW 328i (16500 miles) or a Brand new 2011 Prius III with Navigation. The price for both the cars out of door will be around 28000$. Any help will be appreciated.

A: The Prius will have far lower maintenance costs. My 2004 with 115,000 miles on it has cost 12 cents per mile for dealer maintenance, tires, and fuel combined. The high owner satisfaction rating for the Prius indicates that my experience is not unique. I believe that the Prius is more comfortable on long trips as well. If you like to DIY, it's easier to work on the Prius. But the choice is yours because cars are really a personal decision and one size doesn't fit all. Drive both and see which you like better.

Q: Is a used 328i 2008 BMW sedan reliable?
I'm considering getting a used 2008 328i BMW. It has 23,000 miles and is only covered under bumper to bumper warranty until 12/2011 and certified warranty until 12/2013 (which doesn't include mechanical maintenance). Is the car worth getting or will it fall apart?

A: when it hits around 75.000 miles get rid of it, you could buy another more reliable car cheeper than what it will cost to maintain that car, trust me I have a 98 323 convertible I have spent over $20.000 on mine over the 12 years I have owned it, the parts are cheep made and are expensive, get a acura it will last a lot longer and way more reliable

A: Cadillac-not as luxurious as some competitors but low cost compared to other cars you listed Audi: Bad reliability, I would stay away. BMW: Very good car but high cost of ownership. Infiniti: It's a wanna be luxury car. Not a very good car. If you have the money for high cost maintenance, I would go with a BMW. Otherwise I would go with the Cadillac.

I just bought my first BMW. It's a 2008 328i. The car has 27k miles on it and one owner car. The condition of the vehicle is mint. It has the cold weather package. The vehicle is still under BMW warranty until October of 2011. I paid $23,900 with tax, tag and title. Do you guys feel it was a good deal? Damn buyer's remorse is killing me.

BMW 328i series coupe Lexus IS 250 Mercedes C300 sport Honda accord exl v6 coupe Mercedes GLK suv Audi A 4 I don't know what else to check out. In terms of sportiness, speed, style, drive, which would be best for a guy in his early 20's? I'm looking for car that's no higher than $40K. Any suggestions on other sports cars are welcome.
