Q: Is 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt Sedan LT 1LT a good car?
I'm looking to buy this car and I want to know if this is a good car. I don't know anything about cars. But it looks nice and it's at my price range. here are some details about it- Certified 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt Sedan LT 1LT * Invoice Price- * $10,429 * Exterior: Silver * Engine: 2.2L I4 16V MPFI DOHC # Mileage: 11,952 # Transmission: Automatic City (MPG) 25 Hwy (MPG) * 37 Car Fax says that this was a rental car, one owner and no accidents. Is this a good car brand? Is this a good car/ price? Please let me know. Thank you!

A: They are decent cars. They have above average power and gas mileage for its class. Any car built in the last 20 years can go 200k miles if its taken care of. The thing that would make me nervous is the same thing Jason said. It was a rental. That has its good and bad sides. Good side they need to be able to rent the car out to make money so its pretty likely that all the maintenance was done. The bad side is rental cars are driven hard because its not their car and they only care if it runs long enough to turn it back in.

Q: How much would it cost to reprogram the ECU of my car?
I have a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt because I needed a cheap car. However, it's power is disappointing. How much would it cost to reprogram the ECU of a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt, and assuming that I am not going to just get a new car (I know some of you are wanting to tell me to do that...), would it be worth it?

A: no it would not be worth it. You probably will not gain anything powerwise, and just lose the money on the chip...assuming if the chip doesn't ruin your car. You will also void your warranty and the dealer may even not even do recall or defect work that would otherwise be free, even if it's unrelated to your ecu. I would suggest you just save the money for gas and tires, and perhaps suspension parts. After the car is broken in and you've switched to synthetic fluids, just floor it more often. The ECU may learn a bit from your driving habits and give you a bit more power. That being said, if you got the cobalt SS which has a turbocharger, then that is a whole different story. It looks like you could definitely tune that car with ecu mapping to adjust the boost. There is even an official GM add-on kit (dealer GM part and installable): http://gmtunersource.com/blog/news/item/881-cobalt-ss-lnf-turbo-upgrade-kit-official-update http://gmtunersource.com/blog/garage/item/718-cobalt-lnf-turbo-upgrade-kit-is-a-go I assume there are aftermarket tuners as well...

Q: Would you buy a new car model that is being discontinued?
I was planning to buy a new 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt. While talking to the sales person at the dealership, she mentioned to me that there wiil be no new 2011 models of the Cobalt. The car is being discontinued. Is it unwise to buy a car that will no longer be manufactured? Does it greatly reduce the trade -in value down the road?

A: I may purchase a model that is being discontinued; however, I would not purchase the Chevrolet Cobalt. The 2010 Auto Reliability GPA of the Chevrolet Cobalt Sedan is 1.19 (on the standard scale of 0.00 to 4.00) over a 5-year data history. In other words, in a letter grade, the Cobalt Sedan's reliability earns a D, for frequency of reported serious problems. For comparison, here are overall 2010 Auto Reliability GPAs for several brands, in descending order: Honda: 3.67 (an A) Toyota: 3.53 (a low A) Acura: 3.38 (a B) Subaru: 2.61 (a low B) Hyundai: 2.54 (a low B) Mazda: 2.28 (a C) Ford: 2.17 (a C) Volkswagen: 1.58 (a low C) Saturn: 1.49 (a high D) Chevrolet: 1.37 (a D) Chrysler: 1.04 (a D) Dodge: 0.97 (a D).

My cousin was wearing a really expensive ring and she dropped it down the hole where the seatbelt is in the back seat. it is now pushed under the seat and we cant get to it. the car model is a 2010 chevrolet cobalt lt. How do we get the ring from out from under the seat??

Q: Should I buy a 2010 Pontiac Vibe?
My husband and I are planning to start a family in the next 2-3 years. I currently drive a 2 door 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt, which I don't exactly love and won't be practical. We stumbled onto a pretty good deal wtih a brand new 2010 Vibe, but I know they are no longer in production. We know we want a 4 door hatchback car. Is this a good car for us?? Please offer ANY advice!!

A: Do your research on cars similar to the Vibe. ALso research other Vibes to make sure the one you're looking at is a good deal. A 2010 model is still going to be covered under a Pontiac warranty. As far if the car is a good one for you, that has to be decided on between you and your husband. Personally we are Pontiac family, so of course I'd say yes, but you have to make the choice yourself. Asking something like that on here, you're gonna get a lot of one sided opinions as far as yes get it and no dont.. lol

Q: Which car would you get?
Nissan Maxima 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt 2010 mitsubishi galant 2010

A: If money is no object, then of course the Maxima. My second pic (depending on price ) would be a Galant. If money is a issue, the Cobalt, I have bought and sold all these cars and none of them will let you down.
