I have test driven and love both SUV's but I am still so undecided, I am stuck between the Escalade Platinum edition and the QX 4wd with all the bells and whistles.

Really, Escalades are that dangerous? what safety problems?
A: I am not a fan of either of these vehicles. They are way too big unless you literally have 6 kids or 4 kids and someone's parents you need to haul around.
The Toyota Sequoia is still the best full-sized SUV out there.
Why would you pay for a new Escalade?
They are the most overpriced vehicle on the market and depreciate like a tank.
If you really want an Escalade, find an 08 with under 20K miles. You'll save at least $20,000.

A: There are plenty of 2008's coming off lease right now. With average miles (mid 40k), they will cost about 45,000? The warranty is 4 yr 50k so you would have a few months to make sure everything was working before the factory warranty ran out?
The engine and drive-train is used in the other GM SUV's (6.2L) and is an overall strong engine.
The vehicle with AWD will average around 12MPG in city driving. The 2008-2011 look identical on the outside, so save yourself 30,000 from new and buy an 2008.

A: I think your best option is to get some quotes from a few companies and maybe try a few local agents to try and beat those rates.

Q: Cadillac Escalade 2002 on 80,000miles?
I live in Egypt so these kind of cars are very rare, and cost well over 100,000 dollars for a brand new one. Some old lady is offering her Escalade for 80,000 pounds which is about 15,000 dollars. it has 80thousand miles on it and no other problems. My dad is hesitating to buy it because its 2002 but i am trying to convince him. Is there much of a difference between the 2002 version to the 2009 or 2010? How long (technically) would the car last due to its mileage(80,000)? i told him around 5 to 10 years if we take care of it, so that helped my argument. Oh and it costs 20 dollars to fill the car up here in Egypt, not too bad right? that would last a week driving on moderate drive?

A: I see lot's of GM SUVs go well over 200,000 miles. With reasonable maintenance, yours could as well.
Some of the Escalades from that era were built in Mexico. The Arlington, TX factory built models would be preferred over the Mexican built models. There's usually a Texas shaped sticker inside the driver's door and a 1 in the first place on the VIN in Texas built Escalades.
I would say the price is a little high for a private sale. But that may or may not be the case for your market.

DETROIT (WJBK) - The son of Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., says items were stolen out of the government vehicle he was driving last Wednesday in downtown Detroit, FOX 2's Simon Shaykhet reports.
John Conyers III, 20, told police two Apple MacBooks, valued at $1,100 apiece, and more than $27,000 worth of concert tickets to the Fillmore were stolen out of a burgundy 2010 Cadillac Escalade registered to the 14th Congressional District.
The police report says the vehilce was parked at Brush Street and Congress around 11:30 p.m. on Nov. 24. When Conyers returned around 12:30 a.m., he noticed scratches on the side door and items scattered throughout the interior.
Shaykhet says the incident brings into question why the son of a congressman was driving a registered government vehicle.
"I don't know of a single person in congress in the 16 years I was there who had to put vehicle titles in the name of the government," former U.S. Rep. Joe Knollenberg tells FOX 2.
According to the U.S. General Services Administration Web site , if an employee allows an unauthorized person to use a government vehicle, that employee could be suspended or fired.

I`m tring to decide what car is right for me I`m in the luxury car buying this year my wife and I are looking for and luxury suv in we came across a 2010 Lincoln Navigator that price was $ 65,000 fully loaded that is nice and a true name too the luxury market, but this truck ride great but it feels big and slow when driving it and the chrome grill dosen`t look that great for and over priced vehicle. The other vehicle was a 2010 Cadillac Escalade and the price was $73,000 well equipped with 22inch factory wheels over Lincoln Navigator 20 inch. But the Escalade even has more horsepower than Lincoln 310 hp so we finally threw paying for our 2004 nissan maxima we bought brand new in 2005 so we needs something more bigger which one you well get, because were gettin one monday.

I got a 2007 BMW 6-Series Convertible 650i when I turned 16 in 2007 and the withing the first 2 weeks of getting it the 9th day to be exact I crashed it. My parents said I couldn't get another car until I am more responsible. But this pass Christmas I got a 2009 Toyota Highlander its a really good car and I love it but its just not the car I want to drive until im 21.

A: Well, if its just a temporary car, I suggest getting an Infiniti G37 coupe.
They're pretty good and they're stylish too. You probably can get one on sale.

A: Here's a few you might consider. The Lexus is the most reliable and is better off road, if that's important to you. All of them are much better than the Escalade.
